Do you cage your cats or kittens?
No. Our cats and kittens are raised underfoot as members of our family. All of our cats have full run of
the house.
What does Pet Quality mean?
Generally, a "pet quality kitten" is a kitten that exhibits traits that do not meet the breed standard for
showing. However, there are times when a show quality kitten may be placed in a pet home. These
kittens could be shown in premiership at a cat show . Pet kittens are spayed and neutered before leaving
for their new homes.
What does Show Quality mean?
A "show quality kitten" is one who best meets the Sphynx standard for overall breed type. Our show
quality kittens are the best we have to offer. We can not guarantee show wins as there is much more to
showing than looks.
What is included in the kitten cost?
Our kitten price includes: a happy healthy kitten, spay/neuter surgery completed before leaving, a
written health contract, recommended vaccinations & deworming, a health certificate from our
Veternarian, CFA and/or TICA registration papers, a blanket and toy, written instructions on how to
care for your new kitten, a kitten pack, and lifelong advice and support.
How do I reserve a kitten?
Once you have chosen your kitten, we require a non-refundable deposit of $350 to reserve the kitten. We
accept paypal, personal checks, or money orders in US funds.
Do you require an adoption agreement?
We do require everyone to sign an agreement when adopting a kitten from us.  The agreement protects
both us (the breeders) and you (the buyer), but more importantly it protects the kitten.  We are more
than happy to e-mail or mail our agreement to you, for your review.
Do you offer a health guarantee?
Yes. Our cats are tested for FELV/FIV and we guarantee that your kitten arrives negative for these
diseases. All of our cats receive annual examinations and vaccinations. All of our kittens receive a
thorough examination from our veterinarian. We also offer a one year health guarantee for congenital
defects. For more information on our health guarantee, please see our adoption agreement.
Are you willing to ship?
Yes. Shipping is to be paid by the buyer and generally costs between $125 - $250, depending upon which
airlines we must use. Shipping is weather permitting. We provide the carrier, bedding, veterinary
examination and health certificate. Kittens are shipped bathed, nails trimmed, and ears cleaned.
Will my kitten be registered?
Yes. Our kittens are registered with both CFA and/or TICA.
When can my new kitten come home?
We allow our kittens to go to their new homes between 14 - 16 weeks of age. Generally, if being picked up
the kitten may go to their new home at 14 weeks of age and if being shipped the kitten will be shipped at
16 weeks of age. It is important to note that these are our general guidelines, our decision on when to
allow a kitten to go home depends on the kitten.
Do Sphynx require grooming?
Yes. Many people believe that the Sphnyx is maintenance free because they have no fur, which is not
true. A Sphynx requires bathing, nail trimming, nail cleaning and ear cleaning, generally on a weekly
basis.
Can people with allergies live with a Sphynx?
Sphynx are not hypoallergenic, however most individuals with allergies interact well with them. We
recommend that if you have allergies that you spend sometime with a Sphynx before you adopt one.
Why do you out-cross sphynx?
We believe that out-crossing is an essential part of breeding the sphynx. Out-crossing brings new
bloodlines into the sphynx limited gene pool. Although out-crossing is expensive and time consuming,
we are committed to furthering the breed.
